Your photos are not completely comprehensive to explain the room. Obviously, it was two rooms at one time. Do all the doorways lead to bedrooms? Can any be deleted?

The space is going to be treated as two different areas unless architectural changes can be made.

@Beverly- agreed. We have been setting it up with a sofa floating in the middle (pointing down on the drawing), roughly just above where you drew a line, and making the lower half of the diagram our living room; while using the top half as an alternative walkway option.

All of the doors in the room go to separate rooms, except the two on the top left, which go into the kitchen (lower of the top left doors) and dining room (upper of the left doors)- rooms which are connected to each other, so potentially the door on the upper top left could be closed off. However, I prefer not to, as it gives a more open feel with windows next to the door in both the living room and adjacent room. It's a jigsaw puzzle!

@Clair- I am likely going to get rid of the victorian sofa. Do you suggest putting the laz-y-boy in the center of the room diagonally facing TV, with new sectional bottom left? That is what I was kind of thinking too. Thank you!

This is wonderful, and thank you so much for taking the time to help with recommendations. I hadn't considered pushing the victorian sofa against the wall (I was considering getting rid of it), but I really love this idea! We have a la-z-boy on the way that will likely replace the lounge chair, but this is kind of what I had in mind but was not at all planning to keep the victorian and I really think this is a great layout. Really appreciate it! Will repost pics after we get some new items and painting, etc. Thank you so much! :)
