I think Nini means letting it sit in the humidity for a while. :-)

But yeah, I'd try repotting it. Check the roots when you do so. Are they blackened and soft? Report back instantly if they are.

I don't believe they do very well in light.. i've had great luck having them under trees and in mostly shade (some morning sun only).. these are air plants, no roots.

Mine is in half shade facing a north western window so I think it gets the right amount of exposure.

I have it in a pot and not hanging as most people do. Will check the roots and keep you posted. It's been in the pot since I purchased it 6 months ago.

Very, VERY easy fern to grow, probably one of my favorite ferns. Yours may be being kept too moist. Use a very freely draining mix. I mix a lot of orchid bark into the mix. You can grow them in hanging baskets just fine..., just let them dry out some but also don't forget to water them. MIne go outside in the growing season from late March till November hanging in a grove of Eastern Hemlocks.
