Otto’s Rose Days coming up!

Hi all,

Otto and Sons rose nursery in Fillmore, CA is having its annual rose days this year, April 14-16.

I mentioned this last fall, and some of you in SoCal expressed interest.

Let’s do it! I have no idea how private messaging works on this platform, but you can use Facebook Messenger (I’m on there, same name) and I’ll look for that. It would be fun to share a lunch and the beautiful drive out to Fillmore with my fellow rose people!

On a more serious note, I hope I can make it. My 95 y.o. MIL is very ill, and not expected to live for more than a week. Parkinson’s, diabetes, etc., etc. We might be caught up in procedures surrounding a death in the family in mid-April. So hard to think about. One day at a time.

We appreciate your sympathy!

This was in 2018, when she could still talk, stand up, etc.

Desmond is sitting on her lap in Heaven now. Happily DH and Daisy are still with us.

Hi all,

My MIL passed away on 4/4, around 4 am. The funeral was on 4/7. Her death was not unexpected, but still difficult for my husband and his family.

This does mean, though, I will be available to visit Otto’s during Rose Days, 4/15-17.

She was a Holocaust survivor who went through hell when she was just a teenager. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.
