You can take a screen shot and save it?

On a PC, right click on the image then select save image as

I find it easiest to take screenshots when using the Firefox browser.

Are you unable to right click on a photo and select "save as"? That is the procedure on a PC.

If you are using an Apple computer, I cannot help you, but you can always use the Computer Help forum here.

Thanks for responses. I am on a PC and normally I do save things that way ( Save As) but I can't do it on the Houzz website. Maybe I have some internal settings blocking it here.

who knows. I do screenshot things but the quality isn't as good. This PC is getting OLD, time for upgrade sometime soon.

Houzz has recently blocked the right click save as feature of windows. So now I use the 'snip' app on windows. You can highlight the photo and do a save as.

I had no idea that there was a "snipping tool" in Windows! Thanks.

Though I can right click and save photos here - I use the gardenweb URL.

I just tried it using the Houzz URL and I couldn't right click and save a photo.

I'm on a Mac and I just click and drag most images to my desktop. They're always .jpg files.

It doesn't work if the image is an ad, tho.

Try using www.gardenweb.com instead of the Houzz portal. I never visit Houzz.com unless I am going to the Poll forum, where I cannot vote from gardenweb.

I'm on mac and take screenshots ...command shift 4 and I get crosshairs for the upper left hand corner, drag to the lower right and let up and it takes a shot.

Command/Shift/3 takes screen shots on my computer.

I always entered this site through gardenweb. I got a new computer and I try every which way, but it always defaults to houzz.

czarinalex - I have a similar problem. I can access the Kitchen Table under GardenWeb on my Mac. However if I switch to Home Decor conversations it automatically goes to Houzz. If I use my iPad or iPhone I can only access this site through Houzz and I can't log in to comment. It's nuts.

Right click 'save as' done.

My browser often defaults to houzz as well, so I highlight the word 'houzz' in the URL and replace it with 'gardenweb' and reload/refresh the page.

I don't like that I can't 'like' an original topic in the houzz mode, among other things.

P.S. patI8, have you tried clicking and dragging images to your desktop yet?

Yes-I can click and drag to desktop now. Thanks! Would like to be able to Save As but that does not work for whatever reason.

The "Save As" function will not work if you are in the Houzz portal. If you switch to gardenweb in place of Houzz, the "save as" function should work.
