Just for fun, what was the last thing(s) you ordered online?

This should be fun. For me, two pairs of shoes. Here's the first, a shoe right up my alley. I've been wearing docksiders for most of my life:

The second pair may very well be a huge miss, but they were on sale for $27 and I thought would look cute with fringy jeans:

Wow, seeing all that bling so up-close is a little startling. Might be the first twinge of buyer's remorse. But it caught my eye. In a good way (and we have a Macy's within a few miles of my home.)

So, what's arriving on your doorstep?

I ordered from Hester & Cook this morning, thanks to @mtnrdredux_gw. Also ordered a few things from Poetry, a UK company I've been buying from since 2015. I like their hemp and hemp/linen tops, and linen jeans, but they are no longer selling the colors I like. >:(

At it again this morning. Ordered two bolster pillows (will only keep one, will see which color works best) and shampoo. Saw a gorgeous rhododendron that I want to order, but we will be out-of-town next week. You can bet I will be ordering it as soon as we return!

Allison, she got to you, too, huh? She forced me to order little wooden forks from there.

    What did you order?

    Look at these cuties! https://hesterandcook.com/products/mini-appetizer-forks-set-of-four

What rhodo are you eyeballing Tina?

@Bumblebeez SC Zone 7 it is called "Dandy Man Color Wheel" (what a name!).

@Jilly three 1K piece puzzles for me. Dinosaur paper plates and garland for when DD2's children are here. Either around DGS bday or just one morning at breakfast when they wake up as a surprise.

Thanks to @arkansas girl’s recommendation on the Rada cutlery thread, I now have a tomato knife on the way!

This hopefully hard-to-tip over pet dish for our Doberman, Knight. He doesn’t tip his current dishes over, though, but our darling little 9-lb grand dog, India does! She’s temporarily living with us (along with our DD) and India sadly now has dementia. She walks into and through things, gets lost in corners and can’t remember how to back out, and we find her standing in Knight’s bowls at least a few times every day. Indie has one just like this one, but smaller and can’t tip hers over. We’re hoping that she can’t get into or tip this one over either!

Oh Tina, WOW! I want one, of course!

Ok, finally ordered the cute Ikea watering can. I’ve been thinking of it for a while.

It’ll replace the old plastic water bottle I’ve been using.

Finally bought myself an Aerogarden. I'm having terrible spring fever and need to watch something grow now!

Slipcovers for our lovely Kindel R chairs that have been mostly in our basement the last decade. When our DD's get an apartment this August (hopefully), we have pretty much everything they will need except a spare dining set. I actually have other dining chairs, oddly enough, that I use sometimes if we entertain a large group... some cool iron "bentwood" ones I bought locally, and odder still, a set of wooden ones with rush woven seats made by and auctioned off by one of the kids' middle schools. But of course neither of them are anywhere near as comfy as the Kindel. And if my girls are anything like me, when i get tired of working at a desk, a K or DR table is always a nice option, Hoping the slips will knock down the formality

Maldon smoked sea salt flakes. So good on eggs, veggies, fish, the edge of a margarita glass. The smoke flavor is very subtle, the container smells delicious. I put small mason jars of it in my young adult kid's stockings. If you saw their reactions, you would have thought I had given them a priceless heirloom.

You can purchase a one-pound tub at big A for less than $20.

Ohhhh! I am so looking forward to Spring! These were delivered this weekend (annoyingly I had to get shoes through Nordy’s bc Tory Burch was already out of my size…I love how they wrap the shoebox like a present when shipped from TB💕.) I literally cannot wait for it to get warm enough to wear these!

I also got these Lexi jeans from J McLaughlin bc the color is so perfect!

Oh, and i can’t remember who mentioned the Mother jeans…good call on getting the ”no holes” vs holes. I got a pair of Mothers and a pair of Frames at this boutique and the adorable 20-something told me how chic and perfect the hole-y ones looked so idiot that I am, I bought TWO pairs of trendy, holey jeans! 😩😳 And these jeans are NOT bargain priced, lol lol. They both fit great, and I guess look ok, but the holes are a PITA! I’m always getting my foot stuck in the holes when i get dressed! And dh thinks they look stupid. But dd approves!😂 So there’s that….I guess.

Nothing today.. though I received a surprise Nordstrom Trunk Club package this morning ("surprise" only because i wasn't paying attention) and will likely keep a few things from it.

And the laptop I ordered (upthread) has shipped-- so i should get it by wednesday or thursday.

Oh.. and i paid for my dental implant surgery. That's not fun or exciting but it is the most expensive thing I have bought in the last year.

I ordered some canned tuna and salmon from Oregon last week. Apparently it's been sitting in the FedEx facility since then. I hope there are no cats there.

I had forgotten that I ordered both a 9x12 rug and one of those brush hair dryers.

I've used the dryer twice - it takes a bit longer to heat up, and to get my hair dry, but I am please with the effect it has on my hair's style.

The rug - it is going back. The color and pattern just didn't have the effect in my room that I was hoping for - too much gray (it looked more natural online); the blue is also brighter, and so the pattern strikes me as too busy. I guess I need one of those faded look, more multicolor ones. This is to put down in my FR where I exercise, so I just want cleanable, low pile, and not expensive.

I think that I am going to order some new varieties/colors of echinacia today. I've not had great luck with new introductions in the past (and it hasn't mattered if I bought them from the big local nursery or online), but the price is right to give them a shot.

I haven’t ordered anything today, but I have a package coming. I have no idea what it is. It is coming by UPS and I don’t recall ordering anything from the sender or even having heard of the sender before. And when I look up the sender, it seems to be natural skin care. I buy all of that from Emogene & Co. Stay tuned for ”Surprises from UPS.”

In January I asked about experiences ordering from overseas, as I was worried about customs. My self-fulfilling proficy landed my package in customs for nearly a month. But, yay! it arrived yesterday.

I ordered a felt rug pad for the new rug that came last week. 2 Loom & Forge Turkish towels. They're a really dark blue, almost black.

The mystery order was a dozen hot pink (flamingo) napkins that KSWL had recommended for my April luncheon. I like them, but I’m holding off until I get the Annie Selke order to decide which to keep.

Interesting new feature UPS has. When the truck got into my neighborhood, I received an email with a link allowing me to follow the truck in real time!

bbstx - I really like that feature. We're had it for about 2 years and it's oddly fun to watch it get closer. I don't get the 'follow my delivery' on all UPS deliveries though.

    We have that feature too.

I didn’t know if it were an existing feature or something new. It was the first time I’ve encountered it. I spent way too much time going back and seeing where the truck was!

Same-- and like Maire, I don't get it for all UPS deliveries. Not sure why.

The one thing i discovered today is that i can see a list of all Fedex deliveries and their statuses-- both incoming and outgoing, delivered and pending. I don't know that it is something i will need often but it would have been helpful at Christmas!

the last thing I ordered was new shoes too! I love a good slip on sneaker. after many rejections, this one was finally a win.

is that the Ugg Bren, Seattle? I fell in love with Ugg Bren last year.

    last modified: 3 years ago

No but I should check them out! These are Naturalizer Kemper. I'm so happy because they look just a little more stylish than what I was wearing before - the little tan detail helps, I think.

My shoes need to be very walkable and wide width. It's so hard to find anything that doesn't look orthopedic or manly.

    last modified: 3 years ago

I have a slightly wide foot and have no issues with the Bren. They are SO comfortable. So comfortable that i bought backups for both my colors.

This style sneaker often doesn't always look good on my size 10 ft..like your experience, Seattle, they tend to look big, clunky and manly. Not these. They look cute and actually make my foot look smaller/more narrow.

The Bren seems to be in short supply.. but i got my backups at Am-zon for a lower price. The Ugg Sammy seems similar -- I'll likely give it a try at some point but for now, I am sticking with the Bren.

My watering can ($18) and canvas paint-by-numbers kit ($30) arrived, both damaged.

The can has a dent, because it was put in a too-big box with no padding whatsoever … and the canvas has such deep and numerous creases, I don’t think it’s fixable. I’m returning the can and waiting to hear from the Etsy seller about the canvas.

The paints were rolled up tight with the canvas, which is what caused these. They’re nearly torn through.

This is a small dent, but for $18 plus tax, I think it should be non-dented. I planned to use it and leave it out as decor. It’s from Ikea, but I ordered from Big A for the Prime aspect. Ikea shipping charges would’ve made it more expensive.

Certainly nothing devastating in the scheme of things, just sharing.

ETA: Got a very nice response back from the Etsy seller, she’s going to send another canvas. :)

    @Jilly...Beautiful items.....so disappointing. Sorry that happened. ♥

Awhile back, I ordered 6 yards Sunbrella fabric. A discontinued pattern. Fed Ex put it in the neighbors garage. It took the neighbors a week to notice a package standing in the corner. :0) I WISH I'd been able to follow the truck! It said it had been delivered....I just didn't know where. :0) Oh well....happy ending...♥

Thanks, Nicole! Glad you got your fabric!

Big A sent me a new can already, that was fast. I submitted my return info yesterday, wasn’t expecting to get sent another one immediately. I still have to drop off the other at Kohl’s for the return.

    Anyway, love it. :)

It is cute, my problem is all the cute ones are too small. Is it Ikea or Amazon?

Mtn, it’s made by Ikea and both sell it. Our Ikea store didn’t have any, so it was cheaper for me to order from Amazon.

It is small. I’ve really pared down my indoor plant collection, so it’ll be fine for my needs.

    Here it is on A:

Just ordered a scooter to Nana’s house in Florida! Our first out of country trip since our last Florida trip … in March 2020. Fingers crossed!

I remember that watering can Jinx and was all set to make a trip to Ikea but forgot. It's very sweet.

I just ordered these- for my grandkids --hoping they are as wonderful as they seem. And, no fuss no muss, no parts so DD should like them as well.

Two diamond paintings. I like to sit and do them while I watch TV. Thinking about a new TV stand or table to hold the TV for my room since the one I have now isn't very sturdy. I found one online at bed bath and beyond I love with the right measurements but I'm worried it won't be sturdy enough either. Haha.

Salonva - those are really clever. I've been looking for some toys and activities for my GD when she comes over and those look perfect.

    Thanks for posting them, Maire

Ordered a linen half slip from Lithuania via Etsy, also my sister several ceiling fan pulls for her FL house. If anyone wants to change their pulls, check out Do Dangle Designs on Etsy for pretty pulls. Also dry dog food and two pair of sandals.

Shopping today! A paper mache bowl, shirts for the Mr., plants (2 pink fountain grass). It's amazing what you can buy online sometimes. Earlier this week I bought a part for my FP washer.

This Fogia bookshelf! I found one at a used furniture store nearby for a very low price, have been wanting to add a second one, and pulled the trigger around midnight last night. This one was discounted about $500 off the “normal” price, including shipping from Italy. I love a bargain.

    Chinacat, LOVE that! Wow!

    This should arrive tomorrow:

Ghost Impera coral-colored vinyl Target exclusive.

Well, I tried. Garnet Hill is the only place I've ever found bathing suits that fit and come in nice colours and patterns. I just spent an hour picking out top, bottom, rashguard and cover up only to find they no longer deliver to Canada. Seems odd at a time when so many retailers that never used to deliver internationally are now doing so.

I'm on a roll - Chantelle undergarments, SOMA bras, and more sandals for me. UNTUCKit shirts for DH. Also ordered waterproof mattress pads for bunk room, YETI tumbelrs so DD2 and her DH have for coffee when here, a few more dresses from WRAP (Poetry's sister company), printer ink, Oribe Impermeable Anti-Humidity Spray (after my stylist used - OMG, game changer!), and an Amika iRed straightening brush that she highly recommended. Oh, and a few more cooler shirts to wear while walking each morning.

If you are a student, nurse, medical profession, responder, military (current or veteran) or goverment employee, you might be missing out on discounts from shop.id.me For example, UnderArmor was anotehr 40% off and UNTUCKit is always 25% off.

I just today got these Warby Parker sunglasses. Four days from online order to delivery. A week before I'd bought a new pair of RB Wayfarers and, after wearing them for a week, was unhappy with how they looked and felt. Returned them and went to Plan B. I'd gotten the try-at-home samples before but everything's more forgiving with sunglasses that don't need a prescription. Polarized and less than half the price of the RBs.

Love Warby Parker! Have 3 pair of their prescription sunglasses.

I love WP too! My husband's last pair were from there. It's been over two years and they're still fantastic (rx glasses so he wears them all the time). His previous pair were Oliver Peoples and had SO MANY ISSUES with them.

These two items are a really great example of you don't always necessarily get what you pay for.
