Does you PCdM get full all day sun? Or does it get morning sun and afternoon shade?

I have 4 own-root from Edumnd's that I planted last spring. They were incredibly vigorous; over 5 feet tall in their first year with lots and lots of blooms--looked very similar to yours here. I did give them very high quality soil in their raised bed and watered and fertilized frequently, however, they outdid all my other varieties that I planted in the same conditions. So I think the rose itself has great genes for vigor, not just your Fortuniana rootstock :)
