You know you can have the bathtub completely coated white for about $350, yes? I just had mine redone. looks brand new. now, it won't last a lifetime, but for 350 you can have them come back in 5 years and redo it, or redo the whole surround w/tile and new tub.

are you getting a new vanity? what if you painted the oak storage thing white?

look on craigslist or other home sales sites for used vanities. they're cheap. the oak ones you can paint. remnant granite pieces for the countertop. sometimes they come all inclusive.

Yes new vanity! And I live in a small town in the south. The cheapest I could find to deglaze my tub was 600$. Planned on getting rid of the storage thing behind toilet cause it looks ugly to me, but may look better painted white? I found a black vanity I like that looks similar to the one in the picture. And it’s the kids bathroom so we don’t wanna spend to much cause they’re under 10 and pretty messy.

600?? are you serious? I'm in a big city and 350-400 was the going rate. supply and demand I guess.

So, then if you get that cute shower curtain, just keep it pulled close. you won't even see the tub.

and if you need the extra storage, you can paint it white. (sand the finish or deglaze it first, then paint it white w/a good trim paint. (not wall paint) or chalk paint it, fine sand it, and poly it.

you could also do some open shelving w/spare pieces of wood and brackets if you like a farmhouse look

use some wood to frame out the mirror, get a new light (cheap)

I'm sure in the south you can find an old farmhouse hutch piece! paint it, or build one, stick an old window over it

hang up their towels on some colored hooks
