What a nice idea! Could you just continue your front flower bed to go down the side of the house (with stacked stone or other material)? You could plant flowers among the garden plants, have a slight curve to it, etc.

If not, something like these up against the house:

Or you could shield raised beds from the street by putting up a decorative fence ... picket, iron, etc.

Lots of good ideas from Jinx --- those are all pretty enough options to fit into any neighborhood.

How old are your kids? Do they want flowers, herbs, or veggies? Is there access to a water hose nearby? Good luck giving your young gardeners a good first experience :-)

How about alongside the back patio? It gets the same amount of sun as the side of the house, it’s easy to access, viewable from the back rooms of the home and enables comfortable supervision and activities for the kids from under the patio cover.

Looks to me like your lot is mostly wide open and therefore plenty sunny as far as it goes.
