Here is the quartzite causing my dilemma over kitchen cabinet colors.
What is the dilemma?
What color cabinets should I pair with this countertop? Thank you!
Need advice on white quartzite for countertop
white marble vs white quartzite for kitchen
Danby marble (w/ Stoneguard Satin) vs White quartzite Kitchen Counters
Infinity white quartzite. Who has it and has it etched?
Is that a shadow or is there a warm cast to it?
I’m apprehensive about going too bright white as the rest of my home is very warm. I don’t want the kitchen to look out of place with the warm tones everywhere else.
It’s pretty white, but the gray is warm like a taupe with some dabbles of cream. The gray is not blue as in a Carrara.
And, yes, there is a shadow in the picture.
If you are familiar with Rhino White marble, this is somewhat similar.
Put this photo on your other dilemma. Did you try your Dover White trim up against this quartzite? You might want to choose a white countertop that has enough warmth so you can paint your cabinets the same color as your trim.
Are you sure that's quartzite and not marble? Did you test it?
I did test it yesterday. I took the point of a knife pretty aggressively to it. It’s a marble. I thought it was to begin with, but the stone company has it labeled as quartzite. A “soft quartzite” which I’m guessing is code for marble.
Thanks, Cali for your direction on the cabinet color and countertop. I’m thinking I might have to switch my counter to Taj Mahal do that I can select a cabinet more cohesive to my home.
My floors are very warm too.
There is tile in the kitchen now. We will be carrying what’s in the rest of house into the new kitchen space.
The Dover is too creamy with the countertop I’ve selected, do I may have to change. On the other hand, I’m not sure that I want Dover White cabinets. I guess my choice is to stick too the countertop that I have on reserve which needs a much brighter white, whatever that may be or go switch the countertop and easily select a warm white cabinet finish. I’m struggling with going too bright white in my home. I don’t want the new kitchen to look like arrived from outer space. If that makes sense? I usually have a good eye and I instinct for coordinating color, but I’ve fallen in love with a countertop that maybe isn’t right for my home? Any thoughts? The veining is definitely a warmer gray, almost taupe. It’s not a blue toned marble like Carrara.
