Flooring Design Dilemma Living Room

Dark brown luxury vinyl flooring

Just purchased a "turnkey" home in FL that has dark brown vinyl flooring that looks like wood. Not a big fan of dark brown so I'm trying to lighten it up and want to use a couple of blue area rugs. I was thinking something geometric or something not so traditional. The couch is a very soft gold with a subdued striped chevron pattern. Any suggestions as to what type of rug I should put down. I'd need a 9 x 12
