When u painting

It sounds like there's a lot of flexibility on which white. I'd start by asking which SW whites does your painter feel has the best hide and doesn't need 3 or 4 coats. For example, Simply White is a 3-coat white even in a top tier can of paint.

Ours is SW Extra White, Flat. It’s inexpensive and covers well for those inevitable touch-ups.

@fnmroberts - very nice garage. What is your floor some type of tile?

@mariagrazia- Our floor us Race Deck it’s an interlocking vinyl/rubber/plastic garage flooring. it drains water, supports significant weight and cleans easily. Most importantly it keeps tires separated from concrete

fnmroberts: Thanks. I'll keep SW Extra White under consideration. I can't tell from your photos how it will look because I have LED lights and you have florescent. I plan to use eggshell finish, not flat. Painter has offered to do three swatches.

Lunsford: Work is tentatively planned for next month after drywall repair. My painter is currently on vacation, Local paint store says there is a shortage of cheap paint. One option is to use whatever white the painter has leftover from another project.

The painter was able to use leftover white paint that he had in the shop. I think the color is similar to SW Extra White and has a slight sheen. This saved me a bit and avoided the issue of paint shortages.

Glad it worked out. Make sure you know what he used in case you want to do touchups. He should leave you a can with name or formula.
