To be honest I have no idea, likely the shingles were pre-finished. If you are doing a DIY project where you need to stain something I would recommend getting a few smaller containers to do some tests with, make sure you use the same wood in the same condition as the wood you will be staining. If you are working with a contractor show them this picture and ask them to match the color, they can do some test pieces and get you close.
