New eat-in kitchen furniture

Need to replace outdated dinette set. seating section is 7 ft x 8 ft. Decided on a 42inch drop table by Bassett mirror co. Thoughts whether it will look good in this room needed. My second choice is round white table but I’m concerned 42 in is going to be tight.

Ordered this table and 2 chairs. Noticed a Houzz friend, everdebz, has commented on the item - would love your input everdebz!

What you have looks tight....can we see a picture from father back so we can get a better idea of the space and how it fits in the home? This space looks sooo tight I think I would go for an L banquette and a trestle table. How many actually eat there day in and day out? If it's just two of you the benches would rarely be needed but also give who is there more room.

IMO a pedestal table is better in tight spaces but really I need to see your kitchen . I find that table and chairs pretty bulky for a small space . BTW I hate banquettes they only work for kids . Trestle tables have legs that do not work IMO in that small space .

The space is tight - I live alone. It is my main dining area. I need space for at least 3. I thought the Bellamy drop leaf could work with a dining bench and just the 2 chairs. I really did want a round pedestal table but cannt find a 36 inch.

The Bellamy chairs have been delivered and I can tell before I even unpack they are flimsy - only weigh 15 lbs. not a quality chair.

    Thanks.

The antique white round table is perfect for you and your guests--easier to get around it. Honestly, if you're handy, I would paint the chairs you have antique white but leave the wood seats, and send back the other chairs. (Order a couple attractive seat cushions if you find your wood chair seats too hard.) Then use your chair budget for a nice round drum shade light overhead in ivory.

Do you know about round hardboard placemats? They're really attractive and saves all the bother of a tablecloth. These are from Amazon:

While a dining bench might be nice, realistically only one person will sit there with the other two on chairs. Take into account your needs--if you only have three people all the time, then a dining bench would work. If you have four guests from time to time, squeezing in might be a problem.

I would love to have space for 4 chairs but that means I must get a 36” round table and they are hard to find.

I received the pedestal table. Im looking at chairs from Ballard Designs but what color? gray, black, natural oak? Two styles noted in photos.

" would love to have space for 4 chairs but that means I must get a 36” round table and they are hard to find." The round table decreases the chair/table ration. Note the pic of the benches..two "seat areas" could never have a plate in front of them. It looks pretty with the round but it is not optimizing who can USE the space if you need to seat more than four.

I decided on the Home Styles bistro table and added Spancraft 41” glass table top. 4 dining chairs on the way.

I bet you gals hang out at the table a lot, so focus on comfort as you shop for chairs. You don't want anyone to go home with a backache!

The Vaxcel Burnaby pendant is sold out. which one should I choose?

I just added this light fixture to my kitchen. I really thought the dimensions would work - it is 26 inch in diameter but it looks huge to me. Thoughts please - should I keep it?
