Hi Nate! Yes, you can place a TV on one of the wooden shelves. If you are going with a big screen, the upper second shelf to the right would be too high for TV. I have an idea, I will post it later. In terms of the black slate floor, why not keep it. It looks like it is still in good shape. Especially with the black baby grand piano in the other room, the black floor will help to balance the black and give some continuity to both areas. You can always add a nice area rug to place under the dining table. Then you will only see a border of black around the room. The upper wood soffit shelf that spans the length of the living room, does that happen to have any "up lighting" up there? If not, this would be a great opportunity to add it. With "up lighting" the light is thrown up onto the ceiling, it washes across ceiling and then back down, illuminating the whole room and is quite dramatic. What about the dining room light, are you keeping or changing? If I could make a suggestion...... Take a look at Howard Lamp. You could go with one over the dining table and similar style floor lamps next to the piano. They will custom make you one in whatever style, size and color you want. Your green is a little too bright for your house . . would you like some suggestions for colors that will work for your dark brick, be interesting but classic? Back soon with options . . One thing, the dark tan you put on the trim should be used / or something at least that dark for the foundation - it needs to be the deepest of all the trim shades . . if you look at the dark tan strip you used for trim and go down one level, that will be ideal .. If you love green tones, test this one instead at the shutters- http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/texassage and I must recommend the dark tan on the garage doors over the greens . . if you really want to stick with green there, go one shade deeper than texas sage . .bm crownsville gray http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/crownsvillegray Both of the white aluminum entry storm doors and front doors need to be painted - you can use rustoleum in a standard tan on the metal - they are jumping forward to the eye from the lovely soft and mid tone tans . . they need to come forward only if they are in color harmony . . you can go to Texas sage on the doors to match the shutters .. I think with the ivory and the dark red brick, the right green shutter in a mid tone is a good idea - the tan trim is the one shade you pulled that really hits the sweet spot here . . these greens are built to work with them ..

That brick treatment may be whitewash or it could be German Schmear (smear) technique. HGTV's "Fixer Upper" did this on a home in season 3. I wouldn't put shutters anywhere on your home but at that arched window above the porch and they should repeat the curve of the window. Otherwise, "shudders" just look faux and stuck on.
