Something with the color of those accent pillows could be nice with a black or brass rod like your lamps.

I would do white like the shades & wood work. Hang the rod just below the crown molding and 5" wider than the window. Your tables are too high to be end tables but at least pull them off the wall. Looks like the lamp shade is on the wall. I would switch the black pillows on the chairs to some with the gold in them.

Ok. Ok. Thanks for those suggestions. White or cream was actually on my thought list. The pillows are actually a chocolate brown. My color scheme is rey, brown and gold. What side tables for the chairs? What would you suggest.

What if i replace the two tables on the side of the couch with something like this?

The current tables aren’t useful for those sitting nearby plus too tall. End tables need to be useful for drinks and lamps.
