Custom blinds - did I make a HUGE/Expensive mistake?

I ordered these custom blinds and don't love them. Unfortunately, our windows are older and didn't have enough depth for the blinds to lay inside the window frame. The sample I saw from the sales rep didn't show as boxy of a "waterfall" at the top. I wish I loved them but I just don't. Did I just make my new modern kitchen look like it has 1990's curtains? Anyone know the return policy for 3day blinds?
