We are going to need some room dimensions, a floor plan showing adjacent rooms would be best. What is the room behind the pillars? Who lives here? How is the room used? Style?

I will get dimentions in the morning. and draw a rough sketch of the layout. Behind the half wall is the kitchen and dining room the first picture is coming up the stairs (split level entry).

My girlfriend and I live in the house. We dont have a real ”style“ right now. I prefer a more minimalist but cozy space/traditional. We also have the two large dogs.

Typically its a relativiely un-used space. Ill often just sit on the couch and scroll on my phone. My partner typically spends time in the basement living space which has a large sectional and larger TV. The TV is occasionally turned on in this room, but definitely doesnt need to be a focal point. Behind the curtains is a sliding door that leads to the deck- often used to let the dogs into the yard.
