Help! Please share ideas/thoughts on Dining Room wall decor!

I've been struggling with decor for the main wall of the dining room. I thought the mirror centered over the cabinet would look nice, and I tried to add the square pictures on either side to balance the room. They are not the right proportion, and I don't know what else I can do! I am open to any ideas, I can move the mirror and use 3 portrait dimension pictures instead? Or find 2 oval/odd shaped side pictures? I can also remove the lamps, or use smaller lamps?

Photos didn't load. You have to wait for them to go from grayed-out to full color before you submit. Here in the comments is fine now.

thx, can you see them now?

The mirror plus chandy makes for a bit too much glare, IMO. I'd simply use the top right picture above the cabinet. The lamps look precarious, so I'd remove them. See if a pair of candle sconces would flesh out the vignette. I would prefer the clock elsewhere so you don't give the impression you're timing meals. Can you get new drapes?

I would remove both the mirror and the art from that wall and find a very large piece of art that you like.

I would then get 4 matching frames and pick 4 of your favorite art pieces (best if they do coordinate somewhat)
And put two of them on the two small walls on either side of the doorway.

Love this space!! Love the paint color!!!

Good ideas! The clock doesn’t work, I’ll probably move it somewhere else. I like the idea of 4 smaller prints near the doorway. I think a nice large piece of art would be nice, I’m just so indecisive it might take me years to find one! LOL! I’m glad you mentioned the drapes, they do look kinda cheap in the photo! I might be able to replace them with something nicer with a print. The lamps are too big as well, I’ll look for candle sconces, didn’t think of that!

I’m so glad I thought to ask Houzz for help, I already feel like I have a better direction! Thanks!

Also, the paint color is Sherwin Williams Outerspace, it’s a slightly warm blue. The rest of the house is warm grays (Amazing Gray, Edgecomb Gray and Classic Gray) so it’s a nice pop of color!

Absolutely correct in terms of whether to maintain or remove the tiny lamp. The mirror is also the largest size, so try to place it in a medium or small space, and the rest of the items should look well, in my opinion.

Bergen Furniture - thank you for you advice, can you clarify? Do you mean move the mirror and lamps out of the room and use the 4 other pictures? Also, I should let folks know that I was going to make all 4 pictures white matted prints similar to the small clock tower print - I have that in 3 other styles so they coordinate). I'll move some things around and upload more pictures. Thank you!!

I like what you have put together. The metal finish on the mirror, buffet lamps, and the sideboard seems to match a bit too much. A bit of sparkle, maybe on the lamp bases could have made things more interesting. I added a floral arrangement for some life in the room.

Here is RH inspro with mirror and pics a side. I think you should go with identical frames to get a better look. And a lamps are even tiny.

thank you! I will eventually recover the bench and seats to a light off-white fabric too. If anyone has suggestions for drapes, lmk! My house decor is in between traditional and farmhouse. The dining room set is Arhaus, not sure how to best describe it!
