Wow, gorgeous property. I love the statement "there's this constant relationship of the inside of the house to the outside..."

That relationship is of course missing when someone tries to use a canned design without considering the site it will go on.

I stopped watching when she referred to the pilasters in her office as "columns," which they most definitely are not. This is pretty basic in the architecture vocabulary.

She does say pilasters later on, when referring to another room. Her CT property is to die for.

I have one of her books and love her homes. Beautiful, but very warm and comfortable.

I was not fond of her NYC apartment tour when someone posted it here a few weeks ago. I like his "barn" the most, then her newer house/office in CT. I've always been drawn more to his style than hers.

I have been to that home shown in the beginning but not inside. Several years ago the owner offered up his property for an open gardens tour. We were able to walk into his greenhouses and see his plant collections and gardens. At the time he had a small vineyard on the property. We got a tour and then they took us up to the barn on a hayride where the wine is and he had lunch waiting for us. We spent several hours walking around the property. It was a beautiful day! She has great style, very tasteful.

The blue glass on the ceiling of the other NY apartment was really interesting. I have not followed her too much, but am intrigued by the diversity in the rooms. I would have liked to see more of the Connecticut property. The studio was really quite interesting and I loved the pool house and the design of the pool.
