I can tell you right now that table would not be a choice for me since sitting at it would require your feet to mark the base, There are literally 100s of contemorary wood tables that are not distressed or rustic . How much space do you have to start . Can we see your kitchen ?Without knowing the size of the space you are working with there is no way to help so post at least the size of the space.

Here's my kitchen: It's a similar setup to the pic I posted above. The rug under my 44" kitchen table is 8' x 10'

The table will need to be very narrow if you want to keep the rug for a good plan a table needs 3' all the way around it for chairs to move in and ut easily so the rug needs to be at least that size for sure . You have a decent space so should nt be a big issue to find a table Your rug needs to be larger so maybe choose to not have a rug . Just google contemporay all wood rectangulr table . There are tones. Then find that and come back and we can help with chairs . How many do you need to seat? Please change the bulbs in the kitchen and DR fixture to LEDs 4000K before choosing anything else .

I've been looking for either a smooth top thick maple with a pretty base or a light-colored wood top (that doesn't look yellow or pink) but I cannot find anything - I also like the double pedestal farm tables but I don't like the rustic slats of wood on top. And many of the contemporary styles look like plastic. Please help - Which websites should I try? I was thinking of Etsy too

If you get the 4000 k lights, get a dimmer. it will look like an operating room. Its a pure white but VERY bright.

Also, if you really like the first table what do you care what someone else thinks about it? I would just keep on looking around the internet or somebody here will absolutely find you the same /similar table. They are a resourceful bunch!

Thank you, M Riz. I have been searching for this table or a similar one. I cannot find it yet. I love the thick top and I don’t want a table with slats of wood on top where food spills into. I changed the bulbs over the kitchen table. It didn’t seem to be a big difference but it was a little brighter which was good.

That photo is from 2019, and the table might be older, so it’s highly unlikely it’s still being sold anywhere.

If you search ’solid gray dining table’ and other similar terms, you might see something you like.
