A year ago I got a unfinished cottage.

My cottage is 14×40 . I am not a designer or a carpenter. In other words I have a mess on my hands are I was looking for a app that would help me organize this mess and give me ideas with the furniture I have available to use. Along with wall coverings and colors

You need to post photos of the space and/or a floor plan.

This is my living room area. And literally it's still a shell

Before any design can happen, this cottage needs to be completed. It looks like drywall needs to be installed, then painted. How about plumbing for a kitchen and bathroom? Finish the ceiling and floors. As it is, it’s un-inhabitable.

I'm inhabiting it. And it's not so easy trust me.

The shell needs to be complete before you think about what goes inside. If you are designing a kitchen and/or bathroom as part of this project you can post the dimensions of the space you have available and you will get suggestions for configurations. You need to draw, on graph paper to scale (usually each square represents a foot), a diagram of your house that shows windows and doors. Indicate whether you are willing and able to change the locations of said windows and doors. You will want to have your plumbing and electric in place before putting up drywall. Is it your intention to do all the work yourself? If so, do you have experience in construction?

I don't know if I want to leave it open space or put walls up. I would kinda like to have it Simi so if I'm in the kitchen I can still be part of what's going on in the living room and dining room areas

You have a shed, not a cottage. You can put a small kitchenette and bathroom (toilet, sink, shower) along the wall by the door and the area where you took the photo. The kitchen will not have walls, thus open to the living area. You definitely need walls for a bathroom. Before you do anything, you should hire a contractor, develop building plans and get permits from your county.

    Wow!! Cool project!!
I’d start with the basics obviously.
    Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical...

    Then knock out the drywall.

After that we’ll work on aesthetics.
I agree to leave a bit open concept. More photos. And do you have a floor plan?

What makes it not a shed is the space of the studs they are 16 inches not 24inches
