Has anyone found wide-plank, engineered wood flooring anywhere?

I'm looking for my floor to get a big WOW from everyone who enters the house and LOVES the engineered, wide-plank flooring. We are going with a traditional/rustic look. Thanks everyone!

Our Provenza pompeii sabatini is a wide plank rustic engineered floor. We installed it 6 years ago. It is oil cured….. The planks are 7.5 inches.

    Compared to Kentwood
The small sample was the Kentwood I’d chosen. The Heidelberg was twice as good for half the price.

Monarch floors- just buy a box of hardwood and not rely on sample, does not look the same at all. Beautiful engineered hardwood, long planks- 8inches each i think? No short pieces in the box. We installed this a year ago and still love it. If you're interested, message me on where to find it cheaper, got it for half price retail.

This company can do planks up to 11 inches wide and 12 feet long. Very nice quality product. I went a step down because in my area it didn't make sense to pay for a premium product like this.

@Kari Which Monarch Plank floor did you get? Do you have any pictures?

We're considering their unfinished flooring, or maybe Verano, but it's difficult to find pictures that weren't created by their marketing team.

That's great, thank you so much!

No way anyone can predict what you'll finally get with Asian manufactured hardwoods. They come by way of logs shipped from locations across Europe. Doubtful if they are separated when they land in Vietnam, Cambodia or China. Locally sourced hardwoods are a better bet on consistency.

Here are a couple of ours. Hope you like them. We find it almost impossible to imagine how a wide plank floor looks in your house without real pictures. It is a great idea to order a full box if you fall in love with one. Search for a local showroom with wood floor experts and go talk to them. Floor covering salespeople tend to switch you to LVPs in hurry:).

We offer up to 20" wide in Engineered wood flooring! Currently to date the biggest engineered wood floor we have done is 18" wide all with a minimum length of 20feet. The most common width we mill is 5" up to 11" though. Feel free to reach out or visit us online at woodco.com

@Uptown Floors- Monarch flooring is a Sante Fe, CA company. I ordered all the same lots that matched the sample box lot, this is strictly a Galleher’s issue (distributing center)- whoever decided to forklift the boxes into the truck bed did not care to grab the same lots. Galleher would not fix the issue, and instead the Manager told me they grab the boxes, sometimes there’s NINE different lots, and we cant be checking the lots. Absolute bullshit.

@Unique Wood Floors What is the brand and color of the middle picture?

Very happy with my engineered wood floors by DuChateau, Riverstone collection (color Sava) with a hard-wax oil finish.

We have been in the house 2.5 years and have 3 dogs. The floors are wearing very well and are easy to clean. No issues with dog panting/drooling stains at all, even when not wiped up right away.

I use the cleaning products recommended by the manufacturer and the floors are vacuumed regularly and mopped once per week.

@Unique Wood Floors I am having such a hard time picking an engineered hardwood product. It is overwhelming. I know I like white oak and larger planks. Reading all the reviews are so confusing. For every good review, there are 5 bad reviews. Since you do this everyday, are there a few products you would have me start with/recommend? I only get one shot at this and I want to love the floors.

@chispa. I love your Duchateau Riverstone Sava flooring. It looks fantastic when installed, seamlessly transitioning from room to room.

Monarch Plank is a source for European Oak in flat cut wide plank. Quercus robur is one of the European species. North American red and white oak are different species with different characteristics. Open grain, hardness and color are some differences. These products, including Duchateau are made in Asian locations like Malaysia, Vietnam, etc.
