What is your style/style of your furnishings? Is the staircase fixture the same as the entry fixture? If it is, and you like that finish/style, a quick fix would be to get rid of the boob light in the hallway and move the staircase fixture to the hallway. If you want different fixtures altogether, choose a semi-flush mount fixture for the entry and the flush mount version of the same fixture for the hallway. Then pick out a larger complimentary pendant or chandelier for the staircase.

Thanks I’ll look into that. I’m going for more contemporary/modern style around the house. Painting the entire house a version of gray, changing furniture to more contemporary feel so I want to change the light fixtures to match that
