Looking for ideas/advice for office desk lamp

I like to update my home office desk lamp. I am currently using a Waldmann TL229. Great German made (but old) desk lamp

I am using in on a L shaped desk

I am looking for a quality, contemporary upgrade. To me function, good reach and flexibility, light quality are most important. There are a couple of reviews and best list that I looked at. Looking for some ideas and recommendations, and things to consider advice.

Dimmable could be a plus, not sure, high CRI, no flicker.

I also concluded that reach is going to be important. Based on this I excluded Waldmann and OTUS.

Tolomeo has good reach, but Ima not sure about low CRI rendering

IMO the Tolomeo is a classic I have always loved them for desk lamps and floor lamps.

Why would you change it it? if it is isnt broken don't fix it lol. Nothing outside of Holtkotter will really be that quality.

true. I lowered my expectations already.

Like so often, one thing leads to another things. In my case I decided to move (flip L of modular desk) my desk. As a result the lamp is now in the wrong spot. Also, the white-yellow look is getting old. In addition I have a desk mount that is screwed on top of table. If I move mount I will see holes in desk. So, I figured to leave the mount where it is and find an desk stand lamp.

Looks like there is a bit of a tradeoff with function vs. design. e.g. the Z Bar and Tolomeo look nice (to me). Not sure how great the LED is of the Tolomeo. Both come with a fixed light color.

Some of the "Amazon" products come with light color adjustments and other features.

did some more research. Some models like the Tolomeo have a rather disappointing CRI rating.

started to like the Volee from Fontana. If i got it right this light would have the longest reach.

However, this brings up another question regarding light color. The volee is 2700k. So warm white. The Floss is 3000k. I believe there are even two options for the Z Bar (up to 4000k).
