does anyone have pics of MSI Calacatta Miraggio Gold?

Hi! I’m ready to order countertop for my new Shiloh Polar white cabinets. The MSI Quartz sample looks to be exactly what I’ve been looking for and hoping to see pics in kitchens, if possible. If you have it, any issues I should be aware of?

I would also love to see photos of the mirragio gold installed if anyone has them!

Mine was installed last week pics attached. I am very happy with it! I was maybe expecting a bit more veining but also understand that can vary by slab.

It’s beautiful! going between this and the gray version. Does it seem really gold/brown to you?

Yes it does, what I love about it is that I’d call it a warm neutral that works/ blends perfectly with my aged brass (gold) hardware.… adding another pic here. There was another MSI quartz that’s popular, I forget the name but I saw rust in the veining and didn’t want to bring that in… there is no rust or gray in the Calacatta Mirragio Gold.

Thanks! any issues with pits or marks? Theres a whole tread about issues with both the gold and grey versions but the are my favorite. Even the rep at MSI said they had many quality issues. She as mostly talking about pits and color issues

None…. but… my installer said he wasn’t happy with the first slab he received from MSI and sent it back causing about a week delay. I live in NJ, he then went to MSI and picked the slab he ultimately used himself.

Thanks! It is stunning did you do a gold faucet too?

    Yes

Just to be specific my faucet and hardware are called aged brass. I realized the difference when I ordered a gold faucet and it didn’t match my hardware.. so I thankfully had my hardware packaging and noticed the knobs and pulls were called aged brass… ordered a different faucet in aged brass and it was a perfect match… so if you go with a gold look keep that in mind for matching. I learned so much with the kitchen reno that I never needed to think about before.

Great point! We are going with Brizo and Delta in their champagne bronze. its hard to find matching fixtures for all!

Is the background a bright white or a creamier white? our cabinets are currently SW Alabaster and wondering if we will need to repaint them. Also do you have stainless steel appliances? also wondering how it will look with those.

    Bright white

@josie96 my background is more of a creamier/warm white. My backsplash tiles Finally came in this week after 10 months! so haven’t been installed yet. Here’s a pic

Yes, my appliances are stainless steel.

Thank you! should work with the alabaster then.

Beautiful kitchen! We’re considering Mirragio Gold and will also be painting our cabinets…do you have the name of your cabinet color (sorry if you already posted it, but I don’t see it)? Also, is your cabinet color the same as your trim? That was recommended to us when choosing white cabinets, but I’m worried that limits the white we want to go with for cabinets. Yet I don’t want too many shades of white so maybe that makes sense…..sorry to ramble! Any input is helpful! Again, beautifully done.

Thank you! The cabinets and trim are the same color. The color is Shiloh’s Polar white- It’s a soft white. Shiloh is owned by WW Wood. I’m pretty sure they use Benjamin Moore but I don’t know if the name they call it is the actual BM name. You could try calling them and ask what brand and exact color it is. If you’d like a close match for a different brand I’d suggest borrowing a Shiloh Polar sample from a cabinet store that Carrie’s Shiloh and take it to a paint store and I’m sure they can color match. Good luck!

Anyone have backsplash photos with miraggio gold to share?

We’re thinking of doing our kitchen countertops in this quartz Do you think oil rubbed bronze fixtures would work with this?

Following because I have the same question.

Wondering if the miraggio gold would go with my offwhite/cream cabinets? Any thoughts?

You need to get a sample and bring it into your home with a sample of the off/white cream cabinet to be able to really tell. When I was looking I brought a sample of my cabinet paint around to stores with me and while that was helpful, I can’t tell you have many samples I brought home that in store lighting looked like a decent match but didn’t look the same in my home lighting. My cabinets are considered a soft white (not off white or cream) and it works perfectly.

Any updated pics with backsplash to share? What tile did you use?

  • last year

do you think a bright white subway tile would work with this gold quartz?

  • last year

The Miraggio Gold is more of a soft white but I would recommend bringing a sample of the tile and the quartz into your home to see it in your light. I found that colors I thought were perfect in the showroom looked very different in the lighting in my house. Bringing samples home or having them shipped to me saved me from costly mistakes.

I ended up using a cloe white subway tile and really like how it turned out with miraggio gold. Different hues of cloe tile picked up different hues in counter. Used it with an Alabaster prism grout to warm it up as well.

This is a job I did for a client about a year ago. They have Shiloh Arctic white cabinets, Calacatta Miraggio Gold countertops and Daltile Subway tile 3x6 in Arctic White.

Ashley Harriman- have any pictures of your kitchen? I’m thinking of white subway tile (with colors different hues of white/cream?). With the Miraggio Gold quartz countertops. I do have creamy Cabinets. Painted SW Natural Linen.

Not a ton but here’s a good shot of cabinets, counter backsplash. Love the Cloe tile. Had our tile guy take out the gray pieces and try
To use more of the warm tones. Using the alabaster grout also warms it up.
