How do I hang curtains on this awkward bump-out wall?

I am redoing my toddler's room and would like the curtains to block out as much light as possible (in combination with the light filtering blinds already installed). However, there is a bump out directly next to one of the windows, which has thrown a wrench in things. The several inch discrepancy between the walls on the two sides of the window is keeping me from installing a wrap around bracket, which is what I'd most like to do. I also can't install traditional curtain rod brackets a few inches above and

to the outside of the moulding on both sides, the way I'd like to do (so that the curtains could fully cover the windows and then some), since the two walls aren't flush. The best idea I've come up with is swing arm curtain rods that I would install on the moulding to avoid the issue of the walls that don't line up, but again, I'd really like the curtains to be hanging beyond the moulding.

I'm sure there are people who know curtain rod territory way better than I do. How do I block as much light as I can without having a curtain rod at a crazy angle?
