Need powder room towel bar/wood shelf combo
Comments (2)I recently did a search for something similar without much success. I would recommend you have it custom fabricated. Chrome tubbing is easy to come by if that finish is acceptable to you. If not, you could buy a inexpensive towel bar in your finish of choice and take it apart so that you can incorporate the bar in the the shelf unit you are considering. If this is all too much to consider, I recommend you look to Ginger or Franklin Brass for ready made all metal models....See MorePowder Room update / finishing touches help needed
Comments (17)Maybe a better question is what are you willing to do to make this room less plain. I've read some really great suggestions, including wallpaper. It's not a big deal to repair the wall where anchors were with joint compound and remaining paint. Those pictures don't look very heavy, and shouldn't need heavy duty wall anchors to hang them. There isn't much you can do, since you already painted and decorated and aren't looking to change any of those things. Maybe a wicker trash bin....See MorePowder Room help
Comments (3)The key Largo is very bright. I would suggest cutting it to 50%--colours become more intense on the wall and that is already a very vibrant colour. I love the parrots, great choice. For towels, white would be an excellent choice. They will add to the tropical theme (think hotel resort with fluffy white pool towels) and can be easily bleached if they become dingy. Rather than towel bars, I would do one towel ring. Something simple and contemporary. You could do black, instead....See Morepowder room help
Comments (29)No powder room is this much brain surgery.. You already have a medicine cabinet to the right of the sink. why have shelves??! The light is utilitarian at best. There are many better and inexpensive. ( Pottery Barn below ) Frankly, I'm not even a hand towel fan , nor the sharing of germs that go with them. A box of guest paper towels to suit the color in the bath are readily available., set it on the john, and it is both hand towel and nose tissue.....( none of us would use a single towel in a restaurant, would we?) As to the pictures, either are fine. AS framed photography, and matted!. No need to convert to canvas art. Frame six at 16 x 20. Two over toilet and four on the wall you see most upon entry. Add more opposite if you like. Get over the shelves. Not needed. Change the light. It is NOT your bathroom. Its a guest bath. You already have suggestions for TP storage............nobody needs more than four rolls in there at one time. Pills, lipstick, hairbrush touch up, fine. In the medicine cab. Soap and hand lotion on the sink. AIR FRESHENERS? Skip it. They are worse than the original odor. : ) A simple check of the state of the bath every other day is all that is needed. Clean, and the basics handy and full. It's a pee and wash. Not a hangout. : ) or spa....See Morewynterwynd
