Looks like a honey bee

But they are usually much smaller

The ones that previously visited my garden were much smaller, half the size, 0.25 inch or even 0.2 inch.

They can vary in size from 5/8 to 1/2 inch.

I am guessing what I saw earlier and presumed to be honey bees were "sweat bees" or such considering their very small size.

Here's the much smaller bee that I thought was the honey bee. :)

Looks like a Hover Fly. Maybe Allograpta oblique.

They are the most frequent "bees' in my garden. I like them for being businesslike, almost invisible, non-menacing hard workers.
