Carpenter Bee ? injured and stuck in my window

I extricated a couple of plants from a congested corner of my balcony to water them and noticed some buzzing on the kitchen floor. Turns out a large bee was somehow injured in the process. It scooted around the floor (in considerable speed) often coming in my direction while I was trying to guide it towards the door. Anyhow, it crawled up the wall onto the insect screen and is pretty much stuck there. I loosend one corner of the screen to create a somewhat reasonable gap at the bottom (best I can do without either the screen falling down or the bee possibly having its revenge :)). It is now safely behind the glass window with a way out which it is obviously oblivious. What more can/should I do to help it.

good ..

carpenter bees have no use for you.. and you can stand in a swarm of them.. and they wont bother you ...

though this looks like one.. i dont know if it is one..

I am quite positive on the ID because there was a carpenter bee drilling a hole in one of my benches last year. I could hear it and see the sawdust falling...Eventually, I had to remove all plants and spray the hole to get it to come out and leave. I did seal the hole but can't do anything about the benches and plant stand being wooden. I hate metal stands. Not sure if it survived the spray which I thought was soap but could have been Bayer 3 in 1... Adding to that, I saw the male (black, large with white on the head) hovering endlessly over the balcony a few days ays back...

I read that the male bee cannot sting but the female would if one disrupts it's carpentry...

Males can't sting because the stinger is a modified egg-laying apparatus. The question is, do you feel lucky? :)

Glad it got out. Those big fuzzy things are too cute.
