Have you considered dehydrating into fruit leather? It would last for years, and would not take up space i the freezer. Also, there are predictions of intermittent electricity blackouts for much of the US this summer, so preserving via freezing might be risky.

I use to do this, but no longer have my dehydrator. The kids loved it when young, but no one to use it now. I do put big bottles of frozen water in the freezers to help moderate any outages.

Those look fabulous! I’ve never heard of them before… they look just like an apricot in your hand. How do you keep the birds and squirrels from eating them all? and how do you normally use this puree?! :)

That tree looks amazing. It even makes me hungry ;) I wouldn't have high hopes they would do well for me here on the coast with our long cool and often wet Springs. This year has been a perfect example of that...wet, wet, wet.

Sounds delicious — I’ve always loved dried apricots. We rarely see fresh apricots here. :p

My neighbor’s cats all hang out at my place but they’ve never protected the fruit on my trees. They mostly roll in the catnip and then take a nap on the porch. lol!
