Art is pretty personal, so I'm not sure how you expect us to advise you. I personally would want color, but The space is very coherent at the moment, and sticking with black and white would certainly fit as well. You have a lovely view, so I imagine that's the main focus...

@acm Thank you for your reply. I understand art can be personal I guess we are looking for some inspiration or suggestions since we have trawled through most major box retailers, etsy ect and don't think we've found something we've loved as of yet.

If anyone has suggestions of websites or specific pieces we are open.

I would recommend a canvas so there is no glare on the art from glass. You can select a single piece or one that is composed of multiple pieces.

My advice is to ignore the on-line art vendors and start hitting local galleries, art shows, even weekends craft shows. Find art (hopefully with some colour) that speaks to you.  Take your time. Art is about more than decor that compliments the furniture.

I would never advise a client on art unless it is in a hotel room where it relly doesn't matter . I agree go to galleries and see what you like more to the point what you love and that is what you hang on your walls . IMO it does not have to "go with" anything . I often actully choose wall colr to go with art my clients love not the other way around.

If you plan to spend a year or two looking for a wonderful piece that you will keep for many years, but you'd like something in the meantime, look at pairs of poster-size artworks. Edward Weston' s abstract nature photos may appeal to you.

I think an abstract landscape/water piece, with some color, would look fabulous there … and play into your wonderful views. It would also bring warmth in, while keeping with the very modern style of the room.

I’d look on Etsy, on gallery sites, Ebay, and/or visit local places to find a piece that speaks to you.

This is a prominent spot — I wouldn’t buy a big piece of generic wall filler. Art here could be the soul of the room.
