Could you take a couple pictures that include the whole area? It's hard to see how large of an area it is and to understand it in context.

I'd focus on eradicating the yellow archangel this year. Don't add more plants until you're SURE it's gone.

^^^ That's exactly what I would advise as well!! You'll just be making lots of extra work for yourself down the road unless you do.

And I don't know of any junipers that are happy in much if any shade. I'd consider relocating them to a sunny position.
