I don't do tiktok, I don't do dogs. But a friend sent this to me (why me??) and it's so completely hilarious. You don't have to have the tiktok app to watch it. The Weens Party!

I can’t share the video, but I’ll share some stills. Cricket watches at least 3 or 4 hours of PBS cartoons every day. Yes, she’s a dog🤪

This one has been haunting me lately ... I fear I will be stuck for an eternity in an oversized tshirt and my hair pulled back in a bandana tied "hazel style"

A recent email exchange re: Wordle. I suppose it is only funny if you have similar daily competitions. IYKYK.

SO: How did you do that?

    Me: SKILL!

SO: I measure your pride by the fact that I've never seen you use bolded allcaps before.

Me: it was a little exaggerated. The bold was a last minute touch (followed by a brief description of my moves)

SO: shorter analysis: "what i am calling skill consisted of randomly choosing a word containing a goofy-ass 'g' as my second guess"

    Me: You’re worse than wordlebot!!

I hope this posts. Cracked me up, as I too often want to fight the mirror for giving me such a fright!

For those who might be interested in participating in this type of post daily, Annie leads a Smile Today over at The Kitchen Table.

    Truth:

I was out walking the dogs along the front of the yard on the street with two girls I do things with, 9 and 13 years old,

13 year old- why are you pulling things out of the ground?

Me- It's called weeding, have you ever heard of that?

    13 year old- Nooooo

And earlier, where pepperoni comes from, what we do with cows and pizza has garlic in it.

I always appreciate a good chuckle and these were great!

Just to echo what Eld shared, Annie does a thread a day over on kitchen table. Worth browing over there. Here is the link to it for today since I know the forum

s don't always show up easily.

The Smile with the date thread over there

Anyway just thought I would share the link but didn't mean to hijack.

    So here's mine.

    (which I also posted there)

I came so close to buying this towel.

One of my very favorite shops sells these and many more like it, as well as other irreverent stuff. They crack me up.

    My kind of girl…

Ida - that youtube with the bear was hilarious. I sent it to my sisters.

On pet nicknames, why do we shorten them, and then make them longer again.

    Our dog is Clementine.

    Then Clem

    Then Clemmy

    Now Clemmycakes

Our Labrador was named Maggie when we got her and we didn't change it. But she now answers to Margaret, Midge, Peggy, Midgy, Magpie, Midget.....and whatever pops into mind at the moment.

One of our dogs was Rip, but we usually called him Ripper. Kind of hard to shorten Rip.

Scruffy was Scruff, but Sheena the cat was always Sheena, no nickname except Getoffthecouch.

I was born and raised in Michigan. Although I’ve lived out here in New Mexico for many years now, I still love this map made by a fellow Michigander😂!

That's about the way we see it too, Lynn! That is so funny!

Yes, these were fun on hot, sunny Texas days. The burn scars went with the one on my calf from my Dad’s Harley exhaust pipe when I was a kid. 😁

There were several posts here that included political commentary (and OJ was not the first. I'll be happy to settle that issue for everyone). I've removed all I have found.

Houzz is not the place to discuss politics or other hot button issues like you would have found in our now removed Hot Topics forum topic. There are many, many places on the internet that are more appropriate for that and welcome that type of content.

If you see posts of that nature please flag them and they will be removed rather than respond to them and create the type of back and forth bickering that can spiral into name-calling and other content that can eventually necessitate account suspensions. No one wants that.

    Thanks.
