For me, red would be too much. Either a brown that goes with the cowhide or the darker shade in the rug.

If you go with a color like the one above, reconsider your rug. A well chosen rug pulls together a lot of colors in one room. The citrus green would increase the happy color scheme, and your current rug is not in the same category.

I love this idea but the ONLY issue is we might be painting the kitchen cabinets a shade of turquoise so I worry it might clash? I have the cowhide rug there to tie in all the cowhide throughout and it sits next to a gray shag style rug. Hmmm... I could NEVER pick a rug!

My choice would be black leather, or black faux leather for your chairs, and more cowhide pillows.

With keeping ottomans, I’d be looking to complement them as a priority. Just add great cushions (Kilims would be perfect) and when tastes change, are easy to update. I think vibrant cushions and your two tone couch are enough.

Make sure you want to live long term with turquoise cabinets and search kitchens to be sure. Another option is on bottom only, depending on your kitchen.

There are other ways to incorporate also with a backsplash, lighting, pottery, runner, etc. Again, thinking about longevity as it‘s a big commitment.
