Do Any Of These Area Rugs Grab You?

I moved last year to an Independent Living patio home and could never get inspired by this room. It is a combination den/eating area. I want to proceed with another chair (total 2) and draperies. So first the rug which will be approx. 6x8 for the sitting area.

Which of these three appeals the most to you?

    That’s a tough one, I like them all. :)

Ok, if I have to choose, my order of favs:

    #3

    #2

    #1

I like your wall color! Looks like an inviting room.

They're all lovely and go well in the room, but the second one has a very inviting feel with its warm hue. Which do you prefer?

I like the 1st one. Is that blue or green in the rug? Does it match/coordinate with the wall color?

I agree they all look pretty good, but I think the first is my favorite.

Going with #2 because of the wider border and the chair fits nicely in the "field".

Your candor is appreciated!! I felt any would work but was hung up for a couple of reasons.

#1 is a downgrade Karastan and it shows with the sample but colors work. #2 is a better grade Karastan and that fact shows. Plus the colors give me many options with further purchases of another chair, draperies and accessories. #3 is interesting but is it too much?

    Maybe…

My living room has red rugs and I thought , here I go again. But I keep coming back to #2 for its warmth, as Ida pointed out.

Here is my front room with the red Karastan Kirmans.

I think #2 goes best with the floors and is the most traditional..which suits your decor…
#3 is too trendy with the “fake worn” finish…
#1 looks a little bright and contrasty in this setting

One way you and avoid-red rugs is to look at a different style rug…or keep searching …as different colors are rare in this style…look online at Wayfair ….where you can search by color…and see many different types of more modern ..even more casual rugs …

We found an amazing rug that was a similar style ,..with pastels on a lovely aqua background…in a thick softer tufted finish

JustDoIt…The walls are a Porter Paint, ”After The Storm”. It is slightly greener, as in aqua, in the morning but definitely a medium blue through most of the day. I have found that all the aquamarine samples clash with the paint color.

Does it bother you to not have a center medallion centered? I have a rug in my great room that is like that, some days it bothers me. I will definitely not get a center medallion in my next rug.

I like the colors in 2 and 3 , I think they warm up the room.

Have you actually seen these rugs IRL or just through a visualizer? That may make a difference.

The last one sorta makes everything else-look darker?…in the pic all you see is the rug..
