What items does the brass faucet match?

@lucky998877, thank you. I just need general rules. If you want to cook a pie you need a recipe. So I'd like to find out the basic rules for choosing the proper colour of kitchen's sink.

@Paul Christian - a stainless steel sink goes with everything, so if you want to take the sink finish off your decision list, get a stainless steel sink. A stainless steel sink will go with whatever cabinet pulls (what you call "door handlers"), cupboards, appliances (not just "oven"), counters (what you call "kitchen top") and lighting finishes you choose. You don't have to worry about sink finish "rules".

If you want a sink that is not stainless steel, then I would look at your counters for sink color inspiration. For example, if you have stone counters, you could find colors within that stone and choose one of the Blanco or Elkay granite composite sink colors that would go with it. Or you could choose a white sink in enameled cast iron. I do not recommend a white fireclay sink because they are prone to crazing.

For me, the much bigger decision in sinks is the size and the configuration. I prefer single bowl with offset drain. I also prefer an apron front, but undermount is good too. But there are many other choices in sink selection like double bowl, workstation style, low divide, 0 radius, and other shapes and styles.

For the faucet, I am a fan of polished chrome or stainless steel finishes in faucets. That is because they are low maintenance and do not seem to go in and out of style. And both those finishes go with everything just the way a stainless steel sink does. Some of the faucet finishes like gold, black, brushed nickel and oil rubbed bronze are appealing, but they tend to have popularity cycles more than polished chrome and stainless steel finishes do. Polished nickel is another faucet finish that is beautiful and timeless - but it is higher maintenance so keep that in mind.

@RoyHobbs Thank you Roy. That was a great and thoughtful answer :) As for door handlers... I mean there are handles on the doors in hall, bedroom etc. Some of them can be seen from the kitchen. These door handles are brass, not chrome or stainless steel. This is the problem. The chrome or stainless steel faucet or sink do not match the brass door handles and the brass chandelier.

You just see a chrome or stainless steel faucet and then you see a brass door handlers in the adjacent rooms, bathrooms, windows etc. They sort of contradict, don't they? You don't even have to leave the kitchen area to see brass elements in the interior. They are within reach.

I do not have any handles on the kitchen cupboard, the handles are hidden (gola, volpato or whatever they call it).
