Trying to pick a mirror for small bathroom

I’m trying to decide on a mirror for the main bathroom. We are building our home and have a small (8’10x8’) kids/guest bathroom with walk-around shower (white subway tile to ceiling with pony wall and clear glass) and a large 3’x6’ window (18” from the floor). The bathroom door is a standard 80” height height so Im not sure whether the height of the windows throughout the house ( 90”) should be a ”waterline” or if it should be the height of the doors.

The vanity is 60” long with a single center sink. The ceilings are 9’ high so in such a small bathroom, I was thinking about just playing up the vertical space by putting a very tall mirror to echo the tall window. It is wired for sconces flanking the mirror.

I’m trying to go with a vintage/timeless theme with chrome fixtures, white subway tile, etc. I was going to do a chrome tilt/pivot mirror but I cant find one that doesnt feel small for the vanity and the ceiling height. Then I read an article by a designer named Carla Aston about using strong vertical mirrors in bathroom (https://carlaaston.com/designed/tall-mirrors-will-make-your-bathroom-grow-glow-heres-how). So now I’m considering having the glass supplier put in a 30”x50” mirror (that would echo the vertical elements of the window and the ceiling-height subway tile) and having the trim guys frame it similar to the windows.

Any thoughts? Is such a vertical mirror look out of place or too modern in home where I’m trying to include more classic style?

I also have to consider that next to the vanity is the toilet area and maybe it will be hard to balance the height of the tall mirror in that space. I was going to hang a train rack with stacks of clean towels and perhaps vintage artwork below but Im not sure if that would be enough to balance the strong vertical element of the mirror? Thoughts?

Pictures from article:

Alternate mirror size matching height of doorway (closer to 30”x40”) but with a lot of blank space above.
