Hey Eld - no fair, more info please. I assume baking must be easier. I'll be boiling ours in an hour or so.

I never thought about baking them. But when I make meatballs I now do it in the oven. Much easier and clean-up is a breeze.

LOL - we are at our lake place and bringing our usual sweet potato dish to a friend’s cabin. Had to bake mine at home yesterday because my oven here is unreliable - repairman is coming tomorrow.

@maire_cate - much easier and they taste better - like roasted vegetables vs boiled. No peeling - just scoop the inside out of the skin. Prick them with a fork and bake on a foiled lined sheet at 400 degrees for about an hour - depends on how big they are.

Ah! 3 katz - thank you. Of course they would taste better........I don't know why I never thought of that before. We eat them all the time but Thanksgiving is the only time we have them candied.

The pies are in the ovens now so I'll have to remember that for next year.
