The finish is an incredibly thin coating, despite the manufacturer's claims. If you baby it and use the basin rack, you'll be fine. I'd keep a black Sharpie in a drawer.

Thanks for the feedback on durability; I'll pass that on. In addition do you have any thoughts about the overall quality? It's 16 ga and looks well-crafted in the photo, but I've never heard of this supplier.

We can replace any undermount sink with the same sink in a half a day at most, apron sinks and plumbing included.

The black finish looks cool, but I agree that it's untested. If scratches are going to drive you crazy, I'd suggest regular stainless that easily refinished to new.

@Joseph Corlett, LLC, Hello Joe, How about giving folks a general idea of what you might charge to replace a sink like this if, down the road, it does fail. That might give the audience an idea of what a poor choice might cost them. Other brands of sinks are very expensive to replace!

It depends upon whether or not the sink cutout gets changed. If not, we'll change your provided undermount sink for $1,500.00; if we have to change the cutout, double that please.
