For a clean look, I'd do outside mount roman shades, mounted high.

This look is nice too. I think the larger cornices are a more modern look than the traditionally sized cornices.

Or simple, tidy drapery on the windows beside the fireplace and a shade on the 3rd window.

It looks like you don't have a lot of clearance around the window near the door which limits your choices. If you use cream panels, you might be able to disguise the clearance issue with one rod and 4 cream panels over the windows by the door. You will lose some light from the windows. It's a tricky spot, definitely have some family members hold up the rods and panels before you start drilling for the rods so you can see if you like the look of the panels.

Another option is to remove the current blinds and replace them with an inside-mount natural blind.

Agree with all of the above. Woven wood shades would bring some texture to the space but still look clean. If you have a Hartmann & Forbes dealer near you, they have some really beautiful options.

Blinds.com also has natural blinds for a warmer more natural/textured finish.
