You could try just cleaning with a microfiber cloth that's made for mirror and skip the cleaner.

I bet their instructions say something like ‘never use ammonia based cleaners, spray cleaner on your cloth not the glass’ Of course you, your cleaner, and every other person grabs windex , sprays it on the glass, then grabs a paper towel and wipes it off. Unfortunately it has gotten between the glass and frame and caused the base metal to corrode. If you love them you could prep them with sandpaper then spray paint them (won’t work for the chrome ones)

You can touch up the dark ones with a Sharpie (or paint) and it will look better though not perfect. The "chrome" ones you're pretty much out of luck. I'd look for replacements.

It wouldn't hurt to contact PB and see if they have any suggestions to avoid them getting some bad social media comments.
