Looking to buy good quality sofa and chairs

I’m looking to buy a good quality sofa and several chairs. I recently purchased an expensive high end recliner that had many issues and that I have returned - it leaned and had very poor craftsmanship on their replacement options. I’m a bit gunshy at this point. I want to buy from a reputable company that has not decided to cut corners with our current inflation and the difficulty with getting supplies. I’m looking at Sherrill, Norwalk and American Leather. I see some comments that are not positive about Norwalk. Has anyone had experience with Sherrill or American Leather recently? Any recommendaitons for other good brands that have not compromised their quality for profit? Any suggestions for a good low profile recliner? I appreciate honesty.

Ethan Allen for custom sofas…excellent craftsman ship…important to choose a fabric that will wear well…fabric with high rub count recommended for high use upholstered seating. Bradington Young in real leather…will last forever. Have both…still look great after 20+ years.

American Leather is great for comfort sleeper sofas…expensive but comfortable…patented sofa bed mechanism with no bars…3 mattress options available…I sleep like a baby on the Tempur Pedic mattress.

Stay away from Bradington and Young products especially full grain leather. I purchased a brown full grain leather set from Gorman Furniture and the recliner leather turned black. Some refer to it as "patina". It's a waste of money.
