You need a lot more lighting in that kitchen to start . IMO all the blinds in the DR need to go too. If the door leads outside then we need to know that too Is this the only eating space ? I think a bigger table with a dark wood base and round would be great there with chairs in a light colored all leather with low backs. How many seets do you need and also what are the measurements of the space Do you use stools at the overhang on the island ?I would change the pendants over the island and the DR fixture to something less cheap looking and better light .

The photo is an old one. We removed the blinds . The door leads to the patio .I don’t have measurements right now but I can get it later . With the blinds removed , we get a lot of natural light . We do have stools now in the overhang. 4 chairs would be good for us.
