I am also looking for a killer coconut oatmeal cookie recipe

My mom used to make these. Hers were the best! Slightly crisp and chewy. Not cakey! The only way I can think of to describe is very flat and beautifully golden, buttery tasting . I thought she had used an old Robin Hood flour recipe, but I went through her recipes this summer whenpn I saw her and can’t find it. She doesnt remember. what scared me isthe fact that maybe they werent as fabulous as I remember!

I have good Oatmeal cookie recipes, but none with coconut. I don't know why you couldn't just add coconut to your favorite recipe.

Thanks Kate, but that’s the problem. I don’t have a recipe for Oatmeal cookies at all.lll. But I made these yesterday and they are pretty good. DH loved them.

The recipe sounds good and is what you asked for. I have 3 really good oatmeal cookie recipes but they are each quite different; two are very spice-filled and the other more Tollhouse-ish. And then there is actually a 4th from Martha Stewart, wich is, again, not like the others.
