Hi everyone!

My girlfriend and I are renovating our apartment for the first time and we're looking for some advice on how to arrange the furniture in our spacious living room. We would like to have a large dining table for family gatherings and a comfortable sofa, as the living room also serves as an entrance.

We currently have two solutions, but neither of them fully satisfies us. If you're curious, I can post them later.
