36 inch medicine cabinet is ok over 60 inch vanity? (pics included)

I have some ideas/renderings from my local vendor. Keep in mind that my bathroom is only 49 inches wide for the first 34,5 inches (almost 3 feet)! That means that its really narrow.
I have the option of doing a linen tower and vanity like this. but it would make things feel too narrow , wouldn't it?
For that reason, I am probably putting in a 60 wide vanity that is only 18 deep. My options for mirror and medicine cabinets are:
1. 60 inch mirror - plain, backlit, led frame
2. 55 inch medicine cabinet - available but very expensive and unnecessary to have so much storage
3. 36 inch medicine cabinet and side sconces.
For that option, I would put 4-5 inch sconces on either side at 4 inches from the end of the medicine cabinet. Is 36 to narrow to place over a 60 inch vanity? what is the ideal size? what is the correct/ideal proportions? is is "correct" to have 4 inches between the medicine cabinet then a 4 inch sconce and then another 4 inches next to it. will that look balanced?

I prefer to have the medicine cabinets recessed on the sides of the vanities

@Patricia Colwell Consulting can you comment based on the vanity shape? its a 24 inch center cabinet and sets of 18 inch drawers on either side. see the rendering above. and this is the tile:
i know that i can't do a narrow sconce like a very thin bar. I didn't find a lot of stuff in budget. my faucets are polished chrome.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting i need to make my purchases now so that the contractor knows whether to leave the holes for the electric boxes next to the medicine cabinet for sconces or not (in case i use a long mirror instead and put an overhead light instead).
so just trying to figure out the proportions ahead of time. a close member of my family thinks that putting a 36 wide medicine cabinet leaves 12 inches on either side of the medicine cabinet and that is too much. will a 6 inch wide sconce be better than a 4 inch? in that case it would be 3 inches between the medicine cabinet and the sconce thenthe 6 inch sconce and then another 3 inches. i think that would be balanced. this is the one i am considering that is 4.75 wide on bottom and 6.25 wide on top but its only 12 inches long and i was thinking that porportions may look better if it was longer:

can you help me figure out the optimal proportions? should i be aiming for a 40 inch medicine cabinet instead? would that make for better proportions?
