Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has used weatherwood stains on their hardwood floors. We applied the stain to the top floor, followed by a layer of maintenance oil. We let the maintenance oil cure 48 hours (per the can) before we applied the company's water based poly in the flat finish. After applying the second coat of poly, the floors appeared splotchy (shiny in some areas and matte in others). After letting it dry for 48 hours, the poly would peal off when you rubbed it with your fingers and the floor continued to look splotchy. I'm not sure what went wrong. If anyone has any experience with these products, any insight would be greatly appreciated. We just resanded the floor to start over, but are nervous to reapply and we can't find any flooring contractors in Massachusetts who have worked with this product before. Any insight would be appreciated. If anyone knows of a flooring professional in MA who has used this product, that would also be extremely helpful. Thank you!!
