The high's and low's of daily temperatures

The first picture is our outdoor deck thermometer at 9 o'clock this morning....
The next picture is the same thermometer at 9 am on January 28, earlier this year.
As I go outside this morning, not sure which one I prefer to be honest, but something in between would be really nice.
And for those of you suffering through the 100+ temperatures...
