Just playing with ideas. Haven’t found orb turquoise affordable light yet. TIP: don’t buy sample pints. They won’t show color true. Order from www.samplize.com. Much better.

Important- you need proper primer for deep base colors. SW PO6 is best for deep colors. Really need to test samples in your light. Probably need to go almost black to get look of inspiration picture.

Don’t put sample paint directly on your wall. It will be very difficult to cover later. If you don’t use samplize get foam board, primer deep base, and two coats of deep color. Trust me it will cost way more to do the samples yourself! And they won’t be accurate. So many here on Houzz make this mistake every day!

In this mock up I put a antique mantel mirror to reflect your new chandelier! Shop resale shops for cool mirrors. Measure space above mantel first!

Depends on height of ceiling and coffee table under it. But yes, it’s a beauty and affordable!

@gaymax I like your daughter's placement of two comfy chairs by the fireplace. I can see great versatility if they were swivel chairs and if there was a small movable table or folding tray nearby. I could even see turning them to look out the window at an enchanting snowfall.

Is she painting the trim dark or the wall? The inspiration picture showed the trim dark, but Flo showed the wall painted dark. 

When you say she is buying shades, do you mean Roman shades, cellular shades, blinds? Her inspiration picture shows Roman shades, right? Is her view outside really nice? I ask because mine isn't, so I want top-down bottom-up cellular shades to block the neighbor's ugly house (abandoned) but see the trees and clouds above. 

So nice your daughter is welcoming your collaboration. What fun! Will you paint together? I can only dream...

They have a nice view of big oak trees and an old garden that can be brought back to life. One of her chairs is a swivel-two would be nice.
Her plan is to paint the trim dark.
She is a great seamstress and plans on marking the Roman shades. Choosing the fabric is hard, which is why she has photo shopped a few on the windows. Any suggestions on fabric would be great.
I am very lucky to have her nearby and we have done painting projects together before. We can only dream of a beautiful snowfall-over 100 degrees in Alabama today.

SW peppercorn looks exactly like the inspiration photo…we used it in my daughters home on bookcases.

Flo, Spoonflower is new to me, but they have everything. My daughter is loving the black and white geometries.

Yes I found Spoonflower on hear looking for fabric. Most of the furniture will stay the same color but I may recover the green swivel chair.

Trying to get the living room, trim and shade’s done then will have to focus on the outside my nice decided to have her wedding here in November 🥴

Gaymax the sectional is from Room & Board..really nice quality furniture.

I would go with white walls and charcoal trim. Of course an area rug would be nice but difficult to go further with suggestions without more info.

The “inspiration picture was just for ideas for trim and help with fabric for shades. Won’t be changing furniture anytime soon as much as I love the ideas given. The wall color will stay too I had that done right before we moved in. Will be getting new light fixtures soon. Thank you everyone for the advice.
