STORAGE and lots of it and you need to use it.please. I cannot actually see the space so maybe post a to scale floor plan of the whole space use graph paper and every meausrement clearly marked all posted here ina comment in jpeg format DO NOT start another post I would start by going stacking W/D if that is the only place for it then at least on one side you could have a storage cabinet for laundry stuff an a small folding surface and no walk with wet clothes from the washer to the dryer.That whole wall under the windows where you have the TV coulld be nice storage closed but enogh to hold 90% of the toys when you want to use the space for you. As for the gym part how much equipment so you have likeis the there treadmill or bike that needs a home or just free weights.The othe thing in laundry in bedrooms until time to do laundry and then fold and return to bedrooms as each load is done . All the other storage bins need a home so maybe more of those low cabinets some where else in the space .
